Create An Online Course As A Business Idea
Online businesses like Skillshare can be a great way to approach the “no audience” crisis. According to Liana M. Douillet Guzmán, Skillshare’s Chief Marketing Officer, your online learning process won’t last as long as you think it will.
“Most of our courses include about an hour of pre-recorded video content in a short 2-5 minute video format. Instead of teaching many skills, the most successful courses focus on one specific concept or skill.
“Once you create and upload your content, you can continue to generate income without any additional work,” said Guzmán.
As a teacher, you are paid from the royalty pool based on the number of minutes members watch your classes – and as the number of classes a teacher posts increases, the number of members viewing your content and -increasing, motivating teachers to continue to grow their presence on Skillshare and become a successful online creator.
Guzmán says that the residual income from the same course or company can be increased.
